While some people are awaiting the next recession, the national economy continues to show signs of prosperity and corresponding trends. For instance, unemployment rates are at an all-time low, and it is a candidate driven job market. In the legal community, in particular, the lateral market continues to expand, accounting for the significant increase in firms’ overall growth. Also, experienced and talented legal professionals, including specialists, are in high demand.
We are seeing similar trends in the local, Arizona market, including law firms and legal departments expanding, laterals (at all levels) more interested in making moves, higher demands for litigators and transactional attorneys (namely in the areas of real estate and business), and an increase in the use of legal recruitment services.
